Kadon established a special annual award to be presented to the individual or organization that created the best new pentomino or polyomino idea of the year. Each award is a unique custom design.

For the year 2007, we were delighted to present the award to Karl Wilk for his astonishing solution with polyominoes sizes 1 through 7, like a clock face with the pentominoes embedded as the numbers. Note how Karl even made the pentominoes fit where they most resemble the numbers—with V as the 5 and X as the 10 in Roman numerals, N for 9 and T for 12.

The clock was custom-made for us with Karl's solution on its face by Manny's World, a CafePress shop owned by our friend Manuel Garcia, where you can see and buy the clock and many other useful items displaying the Pentomino Clock and other images.
