Game inventor: Scott Harmon
Scott Harmon doesn't have his photo taken very often. The one on the left dates back to the invention of his game Batalo, around 1983. The one on the right arrived in 2021. Besides designing games, he likes singing improvisational jazz songs and reading science fiction and fantasy novels. He currently lives in Boulder, Colorado, but is hoping to move to the tropics in a few years.

Scott's website has the full story on Batalo, with rules, reviews, lots of illustrations, and even shockwave testers of the board (with movable pieces and a reset button) — one online and the other downloadable. Check it out!

Scott has also created an iPad version, named "Battlestones", for learning and playing Batalo. Check that out, too.
