Flashes of Life —
The Flower Collection

by Robert L. Steinberger

Flashes of Life is the labor of love of Bob Steinberger, a physicist/professor/engineer whose true heart lay in the camera and what he could capture in it of life as he saw it. This volume comprises digital images, poetic interpretations, and stories of his romance with flowers.

Each flower photograph is accompanied by a dedicated verse, a haiku by Kate Jones, which captures the essence of each particular scene. Here is an example, for the cover photo:

Bewhiskered satchels
Disgorge their velvet aprons
And sabers of life.
Bob's wife, Michele, grew most of the flowers in their garden with skill and loving care. Bob created settings for them and turned them into intimate portraits of life. Each picture is worthy of being a gallery wall hanging, opulently framed.

The large-format book is printed on the very best heavy glossy paper, museum quality to last indefinitely and stay vivid through centuries of viewings.

You can get your very own copy of the magnificent Flashes of Life by Bob Steinberger here or directly from the publisher, Blurb.com, where you can also preview all 100 pages. Available in archival quality with embossed cover and dust jacket, imprinted hardcover, and softcover.

We offer it here in two styles. Click the green logo of your choice to add it to your order:

Archival quality, $125
Imprinted hardcover, $95

The Flower Collection is the first in a series of different subjects to be published. Bob Steinberger's collection of thousands of images is his legacy, and they will be curated and printed one volume at a time, as promised to him before he passed away in June 2009. His works of Flashes of Life enshrine his spirit.
