QUINTILLIONS®

Eight times on Games 100 list.
Games' "Golden Oldies" list, 1995.

Read the Games 100 reviews This is our No. 1 game, and the one that launched the company. The 12 lasercut, hand-polished maple blocks, 13/16" unit cube size, are all the shapes 5 cubes can make when they are joined in a flat plane ("solid pentominoes"). Illustrated booklet of 80 pages has the most comprehensive collection of activities for the set ever published, much original material including 2-D and 3-D puzzles and 5 competitive games. The pieces feel very good to the touch. They could become a lifetime avocation. For 1 to 4 players, ages 8 to adult. #$59

THE GAME OF YTM
...by Charles Titus and Craige Schensted

Games magazine's No. 1 strategy game, 1995.
On Games 100 list, 1996, 1997.

Deep, subtle and beautiful, Y has the simplest of rules: place one stone per turn, connect all three sides of the board with a continuous string of your color. No draws! Defense is exquisitely important. Rules for six other games plus solitaire variations are included. Refined over 20 years of play on hundreds of experimental grids, the definitive Y board is a curved triangle, its matrix like a flattened geodesic dome. The equipment is a tactile pleasure to use: handcrafted 15" wood board, glass go stones, velvet carrybag. For 1 and 2 players, ages 10 to adult. #$65

OCTILES® (the deluxe edition)
....created by Dale Walton

Octiles is one of our most acclaimed sets, repeatedly a Games 100 selection. We frequently hear raves about it from satisfied customers. The 18 all-different tiles have four paths each. Players join the tiles to create routes across the board as their five "runners" race to the opposite side. Tiles move and paths change on every turn, creating a dynamic whirl of strategies. The large tiles are solid handcrafted maple, played on a leather-like white vinyl game mat, 18" square, that rolls up for storage. Three game variations are included, plus 28 puzzles. For 1 to 4 players, ages 10 to adult. #$95
